This shoot is about the end of the world, start of the new millennium. People thought the year 2000 could mark the end of the world due to widespread fear about a computer glitch known as "Y2K" (Year 2000 problem), where older computer systems, programmed to only use the last two digits of a year, might malfunction when transitioning from 1999 to 2000, potentially causing major disruptions to critical infrastructure like power grids and financial systems, leading to societal chaos.
